DESCRIPTION:The WVCA Action Championship will be held on June 2\, 2018 at Shall We Dance? in Mount Nebo (same location as the 2017 State Championship). The event will be run concurrently with the 3rd Annual Missing Pieces Charity Chess Tournament to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. \nWV Action Championship\nA WVCA Grand Prix Event \nDate: June 2\, 2018\nLocation: Shall We Dance?\, 17 Wilderness Hwy\, Mount Nebo\, WV 26679\nFormat: 7 Round Swiss System\, G/30 d5\nRegistration: 9-9:45\nRounds: 10-ASAP\nEntry Fee: $20 by 5/26\, $25 at site\nPrizes (based on 20 entries): 1st – $100\, 2nd – $50\, 1st Under 1800 – $50\, 1st Under 1400 – $50 \nTop finishing WV resident and WVCA member will be crowned the 2018 Action Champion. All proceeds after prizes and expenses will benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. \nMissing Pieces 3\nAll proceeds will benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. \nPlayers will be paired using the Swiss System format\, where each player will play every game – no elimination!
